Recently, the House Small Business Committee approved its Views and Estimates for the FY 2018 budget. While supporting the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), the Committee focused on providing certain priorities for the SBA in order to support the 28 million small businesses operating in the country. These are: increase capital access programs, invest in entrepreneurial development programs, participate in federal procurement programs, implement regulatory reform and paperwork reduction, and improve SBA’s organizational structure. These priorities are also relevant to the many programs and assistance that small businesses should be taking advantage of, including HUBZone, WBCs, and PCRs, to name a few.
